5. Refunds
See our Refund Policy for full details. In short: we refund failed decodes and offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-month subscriptions.
6. Intellectual property
Decoda owns the Service, brand, code, and content. You retain ownership of the lab reports you upload. By using Decoda, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service. We do not use your data to train AI models.
7. Service availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (including our AI provider), and unexpected issues may cause temporary downtime. If your decode fails due to a Service issue, you are entitled to a refund or retry.
8. Limitation of liability
Decoda is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Decoda and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to medical decisions made based on Decoda's output. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using Decoda at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms others. Upon termination, sections 6, 8, 10, and 11 survive.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will first be addressed in good-faith discussion. If unresolved, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in the operator's registered jurisdiction.
